Marie Curie is a French chemist and physicist born in Poland, which until now were the only people who ever get the Nobel prize in two different fields, namely physics and chemistry. Her discovery made ​​Marie Curie in the field of radioactivity into the list of influential inventors to the world. Marie Curie was the first woman Nobel Prize winner and also was the first woman professor at the university, Universities of Paris.

Although the nationality of France, Marie Curie has never lost a sense of pride as a Pole. Warsaw International Jazz Festival

Summer is an exciting time to enjoy the atmosphere of cities in Europe and its civilization. In this season, many attractions and performances in an open space held for the public. Typically on weekends, free of charge and always filled with people who want to relax while enjoying the entertainment. Warsaw, the capital of Poland, of course not to be outdone. Summer for the city is the perfect time to promote itself as a cultural city.

In 2011, the International Jazz Open Air Festival in the Old City of Warsaw for the 17th time! Its official name “Międzynarodowy Plenerowy XVII Festiwal Jazz na Starówce”. Just like previous years, jazz music concerts that are open and free to the public is held every Saturday starting at 7 pm, during the months of July-August. Musicians featured are from different countries and different every week.

Shopping Area

If you ever visit Asia, you could found lots of shopping area spread on the city, while in Poland, just like the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, fairly minimal in terms of shopping area. In Warsaw is the number of parks is much more than the shopping mall!

It was obvious that the arrangement of the city in Warsaw more balanced between green area and its inhabitants. If I noticed, summer is the season most empty of visitors to shopping malls because people here prefer outdoor activities to spend his time while there is sun and heat. Possible compensation of the limited outdoor recreation during the winter in Poland.

Wawel Castle

Do not be surprised if the Wawel Castle in Krakow became the royal residence of Polish kings of the past. Formerly the capital of Poland is Krakow. In the late 16th century, King Zygmunt III moved the capital to Warsaw. Wawel Castle is super spacious built on Wawel hill, on the banks of the Vistula River since the 11th century. In terms of architecture, including Wawel Castle-style hodgepodge, ranging from Romanesque architecture (age 11-12), Gothic (age 13-14), Renaissance (age 116) to the Baroque (age 17-18) in parts .

If you want to go into it, exploring the castle, prepare a lot of time and remember that the number of visitors at the palace is limited, the authority says its suppose to made the castle not too crowded and still attractive and comfortable for the tourist, other reasons is for security purposes.

Old Town of Krakow

If you only have sort of time and limited budget, and locating Poland as country of travel target, then visit Krakow. Krakow is an old town that full of history, remember the Nazi when Germany invaded Poland.

Krakow’s Old Town located close to Krakow’s main station Główny, you even could access it by foot. If you go to Krakow by train from Warsaw, Berlin, or Prague, you could stop train journey in Krakow Główny station. If you’re asking me is there any sights seeing that can be seen in the heart of Krakow city? There’s lot of it. What you must put it in the list is Main Market Square (in Polish called Rynek Główny).
